How To Grow |
Sow in rows 20cm (8in) apart. Cover with 5mm (¼in) of soil, firm gently and keep moist. Thin emerging seedlings to 2cm (1in) apart and later to their final spacing of 10cm (4in) apart. Seedlings appear in 10-14 days. Ensure beds are kept weed free and moist. Mulch between rows to retain moisture and add organic matter. Ensure soil is well prepared with rotted manure and organic material. Harvest the crop as the tops dry down and begin to wilt. |
