There is no compromise on flavour with this fast maturing hybrid pumpkin. Hunter F1 produces many deliciously sweet mid-sized pumpkins on vigorous vines. An exceptional variety for later sowings and cooler climates due to speed to harvest. Fruits are rich in vitamin A and C.
Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
How To Grow |
Sow 12mm (1/2in) deep in clumps of 2-3 seeds. Space rows 1m (3ft) apart. Cover with a fine layer of compost and firm gently. Keep soil moist and warm. Seedlings appear in 6-10 days. Thin clumps to the two strongest seedlings allowing 40-50cm (16-20in) between plants. Keep well-watered and weeded. When young plants have 5 or 6 leaves pinch out their growing tips to encourage the growth of side shoots. |
